SUMMARY:Deadline for Artist Submissions- Beyond Erasure\, Celebrating Black Trans Stories
DESCRIPTION:Please fill out the appplication form linked here to have your art featured in our March 2024 art show in collaboration with the Hatch Art Gallery. \nIn light of the increasing anti-trans protests across Canada\, the SASC in collaboration with the Black Student Union are launching “Beyond Erasure: Celebrating Black Trans Stories“\, an art exhibition hosted by the Hatch Art Gallery to highlight the perseverance and courage of Black trans communities. This exhibition seeks to honor the rich tapestry of experiences that come with being young\, Black\, and trans by featuring the artistic expressions of Black trans creators. \nWe invite UBC community members and beyond (students & non-students alike) to submit proposals for artistic works that engage with Black trans history and identity. We are looking to showcase all forms of artistic expressions be it poetry\, painting\, or a performance\, artists of all mediums and experience levels are encouraged to apply. For your contributions to the exhibition\, we will be providing an honorarium to all artists
